Journal question: Do you agree with the following opinion article from Friday's Newsday. Please read the article first!
I agree with the opinion article from Friday's Newsday. I think that if we are educated and are taught the right things in school that it would be beneficial for everyone. The author said that "Thomas Jefferson believed that democracy works best when an educated citizenry takes the time to engage in thoughtful debate and dialogue," and this seems like it would be a good idea, and it could help people learn more and be more educated.
